I have talked a lot about skin care. Which if you know me, might be a little ironic considering I haven't put much time or thought into my skin care routine until probably the age of 26. What I mean by that is that I never really researched what KINDS of skin care I wanted or should be using. I must admit that I have been pretty fortunate that my skin has always been pretty clear aside from the occasional blemish here and there. Recently, I was fortunate enough to receive 5 AMAZING products from Derma-E and their skin care line and today, we are going to talk skin and what is important to look for in a product!!
From serums to eye creams to face moisturizers to face masks - where do you start?! I mean for a while, I was just going to the drug store and buying whatever I needed without much concern for the labels. This didn't harm my skin in any way but it definitely made me realize that just the standard products weren't going to cut it for me. Once I learned about Hyaluronic Acid and it's benefits, I was hooked! Today's products are going to all have that ingredient and let me just tell you, if you want hydrated skin all day long, keep reading!
Water Eye Gel
I use this product first after washing my face. I love a good under eye cream and this one helps to hydrate and balance moisture with cooling and de-puffing properties for brighter and younger looking eyes - which pretty much everyone appreciates! Like most eye creams I have used, this gel definitely takes away the darkness of the under eye as well as smooth away puffiness.
With a combination of Hyaluronic Acid, botanical antioxidants and Alkaline Water, my eyes are looking refreshed right after application. Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster
The Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Gel Booster is the next step in my routine with these products. Upon first feel, this was more of a serum than a gel but it was super smooth and light weight. The main purpose of this product is to target dry patches (espeicallywhen that seasonal dry skin hits. With an added most of Hyaluronic Acid and pH Alkaline water, you are bound to increase the moisture levels in your skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and reduce dullness! I prefer to use this before I apply any moisturizer or makeup.
Hydrating Day Cream
I must admit, I was pretty ignorant to what it took to make a good face cream. One that is thicker with good absorption is essential to me. I really do not like an oily lotion that doesn't sink in nicely. My face is already a little on the oily side, since I sweat a good bit, and that definitely affects how my lotion sits. With intense moisture and assistance in reducing fine lines and wrinkles this cream really took the gold for me.
Say good-bye to dry or dehydrated skin and hello to day long smoothness that is sure to nourish and protect your complexion. Although the texture is thick, the cream is lightweight and won't leave a greasy feel on your skin. If you want to treat your skin to good hydration, start with the Hydrating Day Cream.
Hydrating Night Cream
Listen, I know that skin care sometimes requires a good amount of steps to complete and you may be thinking to yourself that you just don't need that many things for good skin. I was the exact same way, which is why I never really cared for a night time moisturizer. Little did I know that a night time cream can make all the difference to your skin.

Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Overnight Facial
Now I have to say, I was a little skeptical about this product and I mean, I still am in some ways. To me, wearing something overnight that doesn't fully sink into my skin, isn't really my cup of Joe. But we gave the Ultra Hydrating Alkaline Overnight Facial mask a whirl and my full review is such... I LOVE face masks. Like I must do at least 2 a week sometimes more. Give me a good peel-off mask, absolutely. A clay mask that tightens and brightens, yes please!! But a mask that is meant to be worn overnight, not so appealing to me.
This mask didn't clog my pores or leave my skin feeling bad or anything like that. I just didn't love the feeling of having something that didn't fully sink into my skin, while I slept. The gel facial contains Hyaluronic Acid (of course) and Alkaline water beads that melt into the skin to give you a well-rested look in the morning.
Final Thoughts
I definitely am obsessed with this line of products. From the serum (gel booster) to the eye gel and the creams, I absolutely love them! I am so grateful that Derma-E was so willing to send me such a nice selection of goodies to try and review for all of you! As I have said, and will most definitely continue to do so, skin care is my thing these days. And as I get older, I can only imagine the tips and tricks that will become more important to use in my routine morning and night.
