Your Favorite Turkey Meatballs

I have loved trying out new recipes! I typically am not someone who chooses meatballs or has been a big fan of them growing up. There was really only one person who made the kind of meatballs I loved and we used to have weekly dinners with them, she is a true Italian! When I stumbled upon the idea of making turkey meatballs, I was definitely craving some pasta and meatballs! So I made BAKED meatballs, and yes, they were quite healthy but so so GOOD!

To start, of course you need to get your ingredients. This was a pretty simple one with little ingredients needed. You just need some ground turkey, a little flour and bread crumb mixture (I used my oat flour mixture again), some seasoning of choice (I added garlic to the flour mixture), and of course pasta to have with your meatballs. I was going to make zucchini pasta but I forgot to get it so I just made some angel hair. And as our Single Girl Serving recipes go, of course all measurements are meant for one person. This time, I did make enough for too meals since the meatballs made a lot.

Make the meatballs

Begin by preheating the oven to 375 degrees! You'll want to place the turkey in a bowl and mix in about 2 teaspoons of the flour and breadcrumb mixture. Mix them together evenly. I placed foil on a cookie tray then rolled the ground turkey into balls and placed on the tray. You can brush some olive oil over the meatballs so give some browning to them as they bake. Once that is done, place the meatballs in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Cook the pasta

This step is pretty self-explanatory but you will want to make your pasta while the meatballs are cooking. I used angel hair pasta as it is a personal favorite of mine. For the sauce, I used a jar sauce I had but this is something you can choose on your own! Once the pasta was done, drain the water and add the sauce to warm it up. I know some people cook the sauce in a separate pan to warm it up but since this is for ya single girls, same pot is fine!! You may want to warm up a little extra to pour on top of the meatballs though! For that, use the microwave!

Combine and enjoy!

Once the meatballs are cooked and the pasta in finished, you will want to plate your dish. I love using this shallow bowl that I bought from Marshalls for $4.99! Seriously, I use it for everything I eat now! Place the pasta in your dish of choice. Serve as many meatballs as you want on top of the pasta and then add the extra sauce on top! I even added some parmesan cheese which was a nice touch. I paired with a nice red wine but honestly, a white wouldn't be half bad either! Since the meatballs made a few extra, I did make some extra pasta so that I had dinner for the next day. So worth it!!

I hope you enjoy my recipes and if there are any dishes or meal ideas you'd like to see in a single girl serving, drop it below!!
